In July 2020, the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver will launch “Yamang Pinoy” Corner, an online promotion project that aims to highlight some of the Philippines’ prominent and promising products, with the objective of introducing them to the Canadian market and, hopefully, create an interest for them that will translate to greater sales or investment.
The six products identified for this initial series are coconut, abaca (Manila Hemp), coffee and cacao beans, liquor, ube (yam), and sauces. Each month, from July to December, a different Philippine product will be featured in our website (under the Resources tab) and Facebook pages, where our readers and followers will find interesting information on the products, their use and availability.
