Vancouver PCG Attends the Meeting of the ASEAN Consuls General in Vancouver (ACGV)

28 June 2021 – Philippine Consul General Maria Andrelita S. Austria attended the monthly meeting of the ASEAN Consuls General in Vancouver (ACGV) on 28 June 2021, led by Consul General Shamsul Nizam bin Shamsuddin of Malaysia, ACGV Chair from January to June 2021.  For the first time in more than a year, the meeting was conducted in person.

Aside from the usual housekeeping matters, the ASEAN Consulates discussed their respective office arrangements given the easing restrictions in British Columbia.

Consul General Austria also shared the details of the invitation from the Canadian Council for Southeast Asian Studies (CCSEAS) for the ASEAN Consulates General to participate in their bi-annual conference to be held at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver B.C.  on October 21-24, 2021.  An information paper was circulated to ASEAN Consulates for their consideration.
