The Philippines Participates in the External Development Summit (XDS) 2023

21 September 2023 – A delegation composed of the Department of Trade and Industry, led by Dr. Rafaelita Aldaba, Undersecretary, Competitiveness and Innovation Group, and members of the Game Developers Association of the Philippines or GDAP participated in the External Development Summit (XDS) 2023, held at the Parq Vancouver on 6-8 September 2023.  The XDS is an annual international games industry event with a primary focus on external development for art, animation, audio, software engineering, QA and localization.  It is a professionals-only event that brings together attendees from around 45 countries.

The Philippine delegation was able to secure positive interests and leads from Canadian companies and other country participants and industry leaders that it met at the XDS, related business meetings and at the networking event held at the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver on 5 September.

While in Vancouver, the Philippines also took the opportunity to promote the Game Development Summit that it will host in Boracay on February 15-16, 2024. END
