THE PHILIPPINE CONSULATE GENERAL IN VANCOUVER MOUNTS THIRD “MANILA COMES TO TOWN”

The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver organized the third annual “Manila Comes to Town” Filipino Food Truck Festival along Canada Place in Downtown Vancouver, on 31 August – 02 September 2022.  Participating food trucks were (L-R) Shameless Buns, Potato Corner and Max’s Restaurant.

Food truck visitors were entertained throughout the three-day festival by Vancouver-based Filipino-Canadian performers, Viva recording artist Jono Hilario, Vancouver’s King and Queen of Jazz Ed and Salve Dayao, and child performer Kaye Banez.

The event was also graced by former Tourism Secretary and now Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat (left photo) on the first day, and Filipino singer Bugoy Drilon (right photo), who was in Vancouver with other Filipino artists, on the second day. END
