In case of emergency travel to the Philippines, a Filipino national may apply for a Travel Document (TD) to be used for one-way direct travel to the Philippines which has a validity of 30 days from the date of issue.

A travel document may only be issued to a Filipino citizen who has lost his or her passport and needs to travel to the Philippines due to any of the following emergencies:

  • Medical emergency requiring travel to the Philippines
  • Death of an immediate family member (e.g. spouse, child, parents, or siblings only)
  • Medical emergency or serious illness of an immediate family member (e.g. spouse, child, parents, or siblings only)

If the Filipino citizen has lost his/her passport, or the passport has already expired or is returning to the Philippines due to the death or serious illness of an immediate member of the family (spouse, children, parents and siblings ONLY) a travel document may be applied. It should not be used for convenience in order to avoid going through the passport renewal process.

Notice:

Personal appearance is required for all passport applicants. Applicants are also required to book an appointment online.
