BURNABY, 05 February 2025 – Philippine Consul General Dr. Gina A. Jamoralin joined the vibrant Lunar New Year celebration on 01 February 2025, hosted by Member of Parliament (MP) Julian Peter, Minister Anne Kang, and Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Paul Choi at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre in Burnaby.
The event, attended by a fully packed audience, brought together diverse communities in British Columbia to welcome the Year of the Dragon with cultural performances, traditional festivities, and messages of unity.
Several officials graced the celebration, underscoring the significance of multiculturalism and inclusivity in Canada. Among those in attendance was MP Jagmeet Singh, with whom Consul General Jamoralin had the opportunity to engage in a conversation.
The Consul General was also joined by fellow members of the consular corps, including representatives from Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, Turkey, and other diplomatic missions, reinforcing the strong ties between Canada and the international community.
