Philippine Higher Education Highlighted at the BC International Education Week in Vancouver

28 June 2024 – Philippine higher education and potential partnerships between the institutions of higher education of the Philippines and British Columbia was one of the sessions featured at the BC International Education Week (BCIEW) held in Vancouver from 23 to 26 June 2024.  The session provided an opportunity for representatives from the Centro Escolar University, Mabalacat Community College and University of the Philippines - Los Baños to present on their respective current internationalization initiatives and opportunities for partnership engagement.

Earlier in the conference, CHED Chair Prospero de Vera spoke via video on the progress and future of internationalization of education efforts in the Philippines, under the session on Government Updates of the BCIEW.  The Philippines also took center stage at a Post-Conference Workshop on PH-CA Transnational Education, modelled on the partnership between Miriam College and Camosun College in Victoria, BC, followed by engaging B2B meetings among the participating higher education institutions of both countries.
