Philippine Consulate General Welcomes the Arrival of the New Labor Attachè in Vancouver

22 April 2025, Vancouver, B.C. – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver welcomed its new Labor Attachè Ma. Celeste M. Valderrama at the Philippine Consulate General during the latter’s courtesy call made last 15 April 2025. She succeeded Labor Attachè Jainal Rasul who ended his tour of duty in Vancouver in 2023. Labor Attachè Valderrama, “Maya” as she is fondly called by peers, is a veteran in her field with 41 years of public service up her sleeves. She brings with her twelve (12) years of overseas experience at the Philippine Overseas Labor Offices in South Korea, Jordan and Switzerland and another twelve (12) years as a career service officer with then Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Manila. The Philippine Consulate General and the MWO-Vancouver will continue to jointly strengthen the migrant workers programs and services for Overseas Filipino Workers in the provinces of British Columbia,  Yukon and the Northwest Territories (NWT) under the One-Country-Team approach of the Philippine Government in the coming days.
