Philippine Consulate General Welcomes the Arrival of the New Consul General Hon. Gina A. Jamoralin to Vancouver

VANCOUVER, 18 NOVEMBER 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General welcomed Ambassador Gina Alagon Jamoralin, as the new Consul General of the Philippines in Vancouver upon her arrival on 17 November 2024.

Ambassador Jamoralin is a seasoned diplomat with more than 30 years of experience in the Philippine Foreign Service. Prior to her appointment as the Philippine Consul General in Vancouver, she was the Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, where she spearheaded the activities celebrating the milestone 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Philippines and Indonesia. She also served as Consul General in Honolulu and Chicago from 2014 to 2020. As junior officer, she was assigned in Tokyo and Bucharest between 2006-2012 and 1996-2002, respectively.

In her three decades in the Philippine Foreign Service, she has proactively pursued initiatives to advance the interests of the Philippines and the Filipino Communities in her jurisdiction. Ambassador Jamoralin looks forward to engaging with the Filipino-Canadian community, Canadian public officials at the local and provincial level, and other stakeholders to find areas of collaboration and continue strengthening relations between the Philippines and Canada.
