09 August 2023 – Philippine Consul General paid a courtesy call on Hon. Bruce Ralston, British Columbia Minister of Forests and Minister Responsible for Consular Corps on 08 August 2023. The visit took place at the Minister's office in Vancouver and provided an excellent opportunity for both parties to discuss and strengthen bilateral relations between the Philippines and British Columbia.
During the call, Consul General Magno outlined the priorities and initiatives undertaken by the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver including credentials recognition, engagement with Filipino international students, educational agreements with BC higher education institutions and various cultural and community activities.
Both sides exchanged views on potential areas for collaboration as well as possible projects in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Philippines-Canada bilateral relations next year.
The courtesy visit of Consul General Magno on Minister Ralston concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing their commitment to further strengthen the existing ties and explore new avenues of cooperation between the Philippines and Canada. END
