18 August 2023 – Consul General Arlene Magno called on Yukon Premier Ranj Pillai at his office a day before the Consular Outreach Mission in Whitehorse, Yukon, which she led. The meeting discussed the status of the draft Implementing Guidelines on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding the Employment and Protection of Filipinos Under the Yukon Nominee Program, currently with the Philippine side. ConGen Magno appreciated the Yukon government’s continued interest and assured the Premier that she would continue to push for the completion of the Implementing Guidelines. Both officials also talked about potential cooperation in education, tourism and healthcare, as well as the importance of the Filipino community in Yukon. END
