15 June 2024 – Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA) Undersecretary for High Value Crops Cheryl Marie Natividad-Caballero made a brief stop-over in Vancouver to visit the Windset Farms in Delta, British Columbia, one of North America’s largest vertically integrated producers and marketers of greenhouse grown produce.
Together with Consul General Arlene T. Magno of the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver and Trade Commissioner Angel Cachuela of the Embassy of Canada in Manila, they were met by Ms. Yvonne Lowe, Logistics Manager, and Mr. Jaap Dane, Director of Procurement, who led the tour around the Farm’s high-tech glasshouses, covering 92 acres of growing area that produces tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and lettuces, among other fresh produce.
