01 May 2023 – Consul General Arlene T. Magno attended the annual Luncheon and Government Briefing Session for the Consular Corps of British Columbia in Victoria. They were welcomed at the Government House by BC Minister of Forests and Minister responsible for the Consular Corps Bruce Ralston and Her Honour the Hon. Janet Austin, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, who hosted the luncheon.
The Corps then proceeded to the Parliament Buildings where they had the opportunity to observe the Question Period and have their photo taken at the Legislative Library Rotunda with BC Premier David Eby. Briefings followed at the Ned DeBeck Lounge by Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation Brenda Bailey, Minister of Housing Ravi Kahlon, and Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation Murray Rankin. Consul General Berenice Diaz Ceballos of Mexico and Dean of the Consular Corps of BC closed the day with her remarks.END
