CHED Scholars from the Philippine State College of Aeronautics, The World Citi Colleges and Mabalacat City College Train at the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver

Consul General Arlene T. Magno welcomes the participants from the Philippine State College of Aeronautics, World Citi Colleges and Mabalacat City College to the Consulate who are in Vancouver to train at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, under the Continuing Professional Development Studies Grant of the Philippine Commission on Higher Education.

28 December 2023 – A cohort of 26 faculty and administrators from the Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PHLSCA), World Citi College (WCC) and Mabalacat City College underwent a short-term training conducted by the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Vancouver from 29 November to 16 December 2023.  The training was funded by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED) under the Continuing Professional Development Studies Grant, designed to capacitate the participants in curriculum development and program management in support of the twinning program on aviation between the PHLSCA/WCC and the BCIT signed in Vancouver earlier this year.  The scholars were accompanied by three representatives from CHED.

The CHED trainees composed of 26 faculty and administrators from the PHLSCA, WCC and the Mabalacat City College, as well as CHED representatives, pose at the Aerospance Technology Campus of the BCIT, home to BCIT’s aerospace-related programs and one of Canada’s largest aerospace training facilities.
