ADVISORY NO. 48-2021: Proof of Vaccination for Travel to the Philippines

The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver wishes to inform Filipino citizens in Canada who will be travelling to the Philippines that the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) will accept vaccination certificates issued by any provinces or territories of Canada, whether digital or physical, as proof of full vaccination status.

The certificate holder, however, is still subject to applicable quarantine protocols under current country risk classifications of their origin as identified by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).

Canada remains classified as a “Yellow List” country.  In this regard, fully vaccinated Filipino nationals from Canada will only be required to undergo six (6) days of hotel-based quarantine or until the release of the negative result of their RT-PCR testing taken on the fifth (5th) day from the date of their arrival after which, they shall be required to undergo home quarantine until their tenth (10th) day.

Former Filipino citizens travelling to the Philippines from Canada will have to observe eight (8) days of hotel- based quarantine or until the release of their negative RT-PCR testing taken on the seventh (7th) day.  After which, they shall be required to undergo home quarantine until their fourteenth (14th) day, with the day of arrival being the first day.
