ADVISORY NO. 43-2021: COMELEC EXTENDS OVERSEAS VOTER REGISTRATION UNTIL OCTOBER 14

The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver is pleased to announce that COMELEC En Banc has unanimously decided to extend the period for Overseas Voting (OV) Registration for two weeks, from the 1st until the 14th of October 2021.

All qualified Filipinos in British Columbia, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories who have not yet registered as Overseas Voters, or those who have registered in the past but have not voted during the past two elections (in 2019 and 2016), are enjoined to come to the Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver and register themselves.  No appointment is needed.

In order to shorten the processing time, the Consulate strongly encourages registrants to use the online iRehistro facility which can be accessed through this link, https://irehistro.comelec.gov.ph/irehistro/ovf1. Simply fill out the online OV registration form, print the form with the QR code on legal-sized paper, and bring it to the Consulate, along with proof of Philippine citizenship, such as Philippine passport or dual citizenship Identification Certificate.

For those registered voters with complete biometric data and who have changed addresses, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit the link below and download application form (OVF-1): https://www.vancouverpcg.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Overseas-Voting-form-OVF-1.pdf
  2. Fill out the form indicating change of address and send a scanned copy of duly accomplished OVF-1 and proof of Philippine citizenship, such as Philippine passport or dual citizenship Identification Certificate to overseasvoting@vancouverpcg.org.

Let’s continue to strengthen our democracy. It’s our right and duty. REGISTER AND VOTE!
