The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver is pleased to announce the addition of the latest resource in its official website, the FilNet Bayanihan Information Hub.
A joint undertaking of the Philippine Consulate General and the Filipino Network in B.C., the FilNet Bayanihan Information Hub is intended to be a platform for Filipino newcomers in the province, where they can have access to vital information that would help ease their settlement and integration into Canada.
Whether a Temporary Foreign Worker, an International Student or a Landed Immigrant in B.C., there are programs and services specifically catering to their needs, from English language trainings to housing and accommodations to legal services that are available free of charge.
Through the initiative of the FilNet, an informal organization of Filipino Settlement Workers, Case Managers, Job Specialists, Immigration Consultants, and other Social Service Workers employed in various immigrant-serving agencies, information on these programs and services are being disseminated so that more Filipinos will benefit from these supports.
The Information Hub also contains a directory of FilNet members and their affiliations and provides an important link to the FilNet’s Facebook account, “Lathala”, where readers will find public announcements and the latest updates and opportunities from FilNet.
The Philippine Consulate General is pleased to host the Information Hub in its website, under the Resources tab, as its contribution to FilNet’s outreach work and in its own efforts to extend assistance to every Filipino who has come to British Columbia to start a new and exciting phase in life.
If you are one of them, this resource is for you.
