Vancouver, BC – The Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) and Air Canada are proud to announce a strategic partnership in celebration of Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada (FRMC). This collaboration highlights the growing cultural and economic ties between Canada and the Philippines, coinciding with the launch of Air Canada’s new non-stop service between Vancouver and Manila. The 13.5-hour direct flight operates four times weekly and officially commenced on April 2, 2025.
“The launch of Air Canada’s new non-stop service between Vancouver and Manila is a game-changer for tourism, strengthening the bridge between Canada and the Philippines. This direct connection not only makes travel more convenient for Filipino-Canadians and Canadian visitors but also opens new opportunities to showcase our rich culture, warm hospitality, and world-class destinations. We invite more travellers to experience the beauty of the Philippines, where every journey is met with adventure, flavour, and the warmth of home,” Tourism Attache Soleil Tropicales expressed.
Filipino Restaurant Month in Canada, now in its fourth year, runs from April 1-30, 2025, and is spearheaded by the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa and the Philippine Consulates General in Calgary, Toronto, and Vancouver.
