ASEAN Committee in Vancouver Welcomes Philippine Consul General Dr. Gina A. Jamoralin

VANCOUVER, 06 December 2024 – The ASEAN Consuls General in Vancouver (ACGV) came together to welcome Dr. Gina A. Jamoralin, the Philippines’ newly-assumed Consul General to Vancouver, and Consul General Thanapol Wang-om-klang of Thailand on 02 December 2024.

As part of ACGV's tradition, the gathering, hosted by Malaysian Consul General Mohd Afandi Bin Abu Bakar, was aimed at strengthening the camaraderie and solidarity among ASEAN Consulates in Vancouver.

Consul General Jamoralin expressed her enthusiasm to contribute to ACGV’s initiatives and proposed new projects to promote a deeper understanding of ASEAN cultures, histories, and contributions in Canada.  Similarly, the other Consuls General shared their priorities to further ACGV’s objectives

ACGV comprises five ASEAN Member States: Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Viet Nam. It operates on a rotational chairmanship every six months, reflecting ASEAN’s collective leadership ethos. END
