VANCOUVER, 02 December 2024 – The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver warmly welcomed Mr. Allan Coo, the Country Manager for Canada of Philippine Airlines (PAL), during his courtesy call on Consul General Dr. Gina A. Jamoralin at the Consulate office on 29 November 2024.
The call was an opportunity to strengthen ties between the Consulate and the Philippines’ flag carrier in furthering shared goals of connecting Filipino communities across Canada to the Philippines. Discussions centered on enhancing travel opportunities for Filipinos in Canada, supporting tourism initiatives, and addressing the needs of Filipino travelers, foreign tourists and balikbayans.
Consul General Dr. Jamoralin expressed appreciation for Philippine Airlines’ continued commitment to serving Filipino communities in Canada. She noted the importance of reliable and efficient air travel in fostering stronger people-to-people links and boosting the Philippines' profile as a premier tourist destination.
Mr. Coo highlighted PAL's upcoming initiatives in Canada, including promotional programs, enhanced flight schedules, and new services to meet the growing demand for air connectivity between the two countries. He also assured the Consulate of PAL’s readiness to collaborate on projects that align with the Consulate’s advocacies.
The courtesy call reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Consulate and Philippine Airlines to serve as a bridge for Filipino-Canadians to connect with their heritage while promoting the Philippines as a top destination for tourism and business. END
